Summer, Winter and Holiday Courses -
for schools and other groups
Course Structure
These courses are a perfect combination of learning and having fun. Intensive
Courses take place Monday to Friday consisting of 20 units. The summer courses
run in the summer months, June, July and August. School and group courses can
be booked individually throughout the year. Lessons take place on:

The main aim of the summer and winter courses is for students to get to know
the German language and culture. Alongside our excellent teaching program,
students will be taken on weekly trips to places of importance and interest. A
wonderful leisure program keeps students active and encourages them in the use
of the language. The ideal age is between 14 and 18 years.
Leisure activities Football, swimming, mini-golf, horse-riding, hiking,
canoeing, tennis, football etc., boat trip on the Danube. Going to cinema,
concerts, disco, cafés, bars, museum etc. City tours to Munich, Ulm, Nördlingen
etc. All activites and trips are supervised by experienced and trained
professionals.
Intensive Courses
Course Structure
The Intensive Courses take place daily from Monday to Friday consisting
of 20 units à 45 minutes.

One level can be completed after 8 weeks. For the exact course starting date
please refer to our price & date list. Courses can be booked for 1, 2, 3, 4
weeks or 2, 3 month and even longer. The lessons are a well balanced
combination of all the four language skills - reading, writing, speaking,
listening. Role plays, sketches, team work and fun activities, bring the
language to life and is highly motivating for the students giving them the
confidence to use the language.
Class size:
Maximum number of students is 15.
Average number of students is 12.
Assessment test:
Students with some knowledge of the German language are sent an assessment test
when registering for a course which is handed in before the start of the
course. On the first day of the course they can start with the appropriate
level of study.
Regular progress tests:
Every week students write evaluative tests to ensure progress while learning at
our Akademie. This also highlights any problems students may be having, which
can then be immediately ironed out.
Material:
The SprachAkademie im Deggingerhaus/Augsburger SprachAkademie work with various
well renowned publishers from Germany. Students will learn with two books -
course and workbook. Furthermore extra self-made material from the Akademie
will be provided.
Test Daf Preparatory Classes
Course Structure
Test Daf preparatory Classes take place 4 times a year and run for 4/8 weeks
(see date & price list for exact dates). Courses take place from Monday to
Friday consisting of 20 units. Students will be prepared not only for content
related questions but will also be taught how to master the Test Daf test
format.
This course is only for advanced students who already have very good knowledge
of the German language. The Test Daf is designed for students who desire to
study at a German university, technical college or who want to officially prove
their German skills to their employer. The Test can be sat 4 times a year. Our
courses start 4/8 weeks before the actual test. The Test Daf is designed and
supervised by the DAAD and the German Association of vice-chancellors.
Regular simulated exams:
A simulated exam takes place every Monday to ensure that students grasp
everything taught in the previous week and is successful when s/he sits the
exam.
Material:
Students will learn with material especially designed for Test DaF preparation
and extra self-made material created by the Akademie.
