Social Programme

In addition to running courses in its own buildings, Select English also hosts summer school courses at several Cambridge University Colleges.

There is also a summer school for children. This is located at Barnardiston Hall, some 35km outside of Cambridge.

All of the school's summer courses have extensive sports and social programmes.

During the academic year (September to June) we offer a limited activities programme and also encourage the students to take advantage of the many things to see and do in and around Cambridge.

Junior Homestay and Junior Residential (14-16 years)

These courses are held in our school buildings in Station Road and in other suitable premises nearby. They consist of 20 hours of lessons per week plus an active sports and social programme in the afternoons and evenings. There is a full day trip every Saturday.

All activities are supervised by the school staff and are conducted in a safe environment.

Students either live in a host family or a school Hall of Residence. Some students come back every year to meet their friends and catch up on their news.
